The third meeting welcomed a guest speaker, Mr. Jean Dupraz, a Senior Social Policy Advisor from UNICEF Syria, who presented UNICEF’s most recent report “Integrated Social Protection Programme for Children with Disabilities in Al-Hasakeh Governorate” and shared the key highlights of the report with the group in addition to social experts from ESCWA and the regional director for disability at ESCWA as well as additional experts to the group; the meeting was attended by 13 experts. In addition, this meeting made way for the development of further partnerships between NAFS and ESCWA with UNICEF in order to ensure synergies and complementarity between the work of the two organizations while linking them to an expert group on social protection in Syria.
