This document studies the subject of identity in the Syria and illustrates definitions of national identity, sectarianism, and sectarianism. It discusses the topics of the impact of the conflict on the national identity and the Syrian identity, the emergency phase, relief and humanitarian work, and policies to build legitimacy and institutional rehabilitation. The study covers other themes such as reconciliation, social cohesion, policies for the rehabilitation of physical and social infrastructure, national identity and citizenship in Syria as a historical conflict. Finally, the study focuses on human rights and gender gaps within the identity sector.
